Cruise Ship Photos That Had Whole Families Asking Who Was Actually Watching The Kids

The spa day that somehow ran until midnight

The spa closes at 8pm. That is simply a fact you can look up on the cruise app. So when somebody checked into the ‘spa’ on their location share at 10:30pm, their partner quietly went into detective mode.

Turns out there is a cocktail bar one deck above the spa with almost identical GPS coordinates if you stand in the right corner. Three margaritas later, the cover story fell apart entirely. The kids were fine; they had discovered the arcade. The adults were considerably less fine.

The balcony view some families are still processing

Stateroom balconies are nowhere near as private as people assume. The ship has fourteen decks, and most of them have a clean sightline to yours. Several families learned this the hard way when the kids came sprinting back from the deck to report they had seen something ‘weird.’

The photo made it into a private Facebook group for cruise families, promptly escaped into a public one, then onto Twitter, and now there is a change.org petition about balcony privacy screens. The comments section is doing the Lord’s work.

The embarkation day photo that set the tone for the entire trip

The very first photo of the whole vacation. Taken before the ship had even left port. Somebody’s aunt posted it to the family group album under ‘Excited to set sail!!’ and there, entirely by accident in the background, was a whole situation nobody had asked to witness.

The algorithm adored it. The extended family did not. The kids in the foreground are smiling perfectly. The background is a documentary. And this was day one. Seven more days on a boat with nowhere to run. The therapist referrals came later.
